The Elva Courier was designed to attract the die-hard enthusiast, truly a production road car that not only could race on Sunday but win. The Courier was SCCA E production champion 1960 and 1961 with Mark Donahue. Today you can still find Elva's racing and winning with much more modern machines and winning as Craig Chima, 2002 SCCA E Production champion will testify. His Mk4 Courier is the same car that ran at Sebring in 1966! There are not many *vintage* racers that can run with modern machinery, but the Elva Courier is surely one of them.
