The history of Elva has always been about race cars. Frank Nichols founded Elva Engineering to build racing cars in England. Many successful race cars were produced with many being exported to America where sport cars and road racing was gaining a strong foothold. If not for a few years of Courier production and resulting financial problems, Elva may still be with us today. But as they say, that's racing.
