...and he has been quite successful...
Vintage Automobile Association of Canada (VARAC) is proud to announce that in the golden anniversary of the marque ELVA, she still goes!
2005 marks the 50th year of the first Elva race car. VARAC driver Walter Davies won the Canadian Historic Driver's Championship class A (sports racers and monoposto) in a 1963 Elva Mk 7. Stefan Wiesen secured the same title for class B (fast production) in a 1963 Courier Coupe. Davies also won the overall Championship with the highest points scored. This is very remarkable since he is racing only in his second season while it took Wiesen 29 years of racing to win his first national title. Another highlight for both was the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix wee both set new lap records for their respective classes.
