Here is a pic of Tom Wagner's old ELVA Courier it is a 1963 MKIII. It came with a 1622cc MGA engine but I replaced it with a 3 main MGB 1800 and raced it in DP. This was without question the fastest ELVA (Courier) in the US and possibly the world as of 1972 finishing 7th at the runoffs at Road Atlanta starting 17th with a borrowed engine. I also lowered the DP record at Lime Rock PK in 1972 held by Bryan Feurstenau at 1.04.4 to 1.03.4 and that record stood for 3 years til it was broken by John McColm driving a ringer TR6. The TR6 did not belong in DP and it killed DP just like the Porsche 917-35 killed the Can AM. Tom Wagners old 72
